Our Instructors

Master James Boyle

Master James has over 33 years of Taekwondo experience and 30 as an instructor. He has received training in numerous martial arts discipline including, Karate, Aikido, and Jiu jitsu. He began his tutelage at the age of 15 under then Master Hee IL Cho (now Grand master) and has gone on to train and instruct students with 65 attaining the prestigious black belt, 12 attaining 2nd Dan, 3 attaining Attaining 3rd Dan and 1 4th Dan.

Master James has instructed students who have gone on to participate in Olympic events with one of his students winning the bronze medal. He has also tutored students who have represented their countries in international martial arts competitions both in the UK and outside the European continent. His qualifications include:

  • 6th Degree Black Belt Taekwando

  • 5th Degree Black Belt Karate

  • 5th Degree Black Belt Jiu Jitsu

  • A.I.M.A.A. International Instructor

  • A.I.M.A.A. International Referee

  • Winner Taekwondo Instructor of the Year 2017.

  • First Aid Qualified.

  • Instructor with over 400 personal medals

  • Member British Taekwondo Council (BTC)

Miss Amanda Richards

Miss Amanda Richards is a 3rd Dan Black Belt who began her training in 1992. In 95 she won the Best Junior Student of The Year Award and was promoted to 1st Dan in 1998. She became an assistant instructor in 2000 after which got promoted to 2nd Dan in 2003. She is a currently a 3rd Dan, an instructor at the Academy and a member of the British Taekwondo Council.
