Taegeuk Oh Jang

 

This symbol expresses the principle of wind. There are such winds as Typhoons, Hurricanes and Tornadoes. But the nature of wind is gently. Spring breezes caress weeping willows. Wind symbolises a humble state of mind. Actions should be performed as gentle breezes, slow yet graceful, then strong and fast like hurricanes.

 

 

1. Turn 90 left moving left foot out into left long stance and execute a left low section block.

2. Slide left foot back into left walking stance and execute left hammer - fist strike.

3. Turn 180 right moving right foot into right long stance and execute a right low section block.

4. Slide right foot back into right walking stance and execute right hammer - fist strike.

5a. Step 90 left moving left foot out into left long stance and execute a left stabbing block.

5b. Remain in the same stance and execute a right stabbing block

6a. Keeping left foot in place execute a front kick with right leg.

6b. Step down into right long stance and execute a right high section back-fist strike.

6c. Remaining in the same stance and execute a right high section back - fist strike.

7a. Keeping right foot in place execute front kick with left leg.

7b. Step down into left long stance and execute a left high section back - fist strike.

7c. Remain in the same stance and execute a right stabbing block.

8. Step forward moving right foot out into right long stance and execute a right high section back - fist strike -           YELL.

9. Turn 270 left moving left foot out into left back stance and execute a single left middle section knifehand block.

10. Step forward moving right foot out into right long stance and execute a right middle section assisted elbow           strike.

11. Turn 180 right moving right into right back stance and execute a right middle section knifehand block.

12. Step forward moving left foot out into left long stance and execute a left high section assisted elbow strike.

13a. Step 90 left moving left foot out into left long stance and execute a left low section block.

13b. Remain in the same stance and execute right stabbing block.

14a. Keeping left foot in place execute front kick with right leg.

14b. Step down into right long stance and execute a right low section block.

14c. Remain in the same stance and execute left stabbing block.

15. Step 90 left moving left foot out into left long stance and execute a left high section block.

16a. Keeping left foot in place execute side kick with right leg while punching along leg with right fist.

16b. Step down into right long stance and execute left elbow strike into left palm.

17. Turn 180 right moving right foot out into right long stance and execute a right high section block.

18a. Keeping right foot in place execute side kick with left leg while punching along leg with left fist.

18b. Step down into left leg long stance and execute right elbow strike into left palm.

19a. Turn 90 left stepping with left foot out into left long stance and execute a left low section block.

19b. Remain in the same stance and execute right stabbing block.

20a. Keeping left foot in place execute front kick with right leg.

20b. Jump forward while lowering the right foot into X - stance and execute a right high section back - fist strike -           YELL.
