Taegeuk Sah Jang

 

Taegeuk sah jang concerns actions applying the thoughts and principles of JIN; Thunder, Thunder and lightning are the objects of fear and fright. The principles of JIN suggest that we should act calmly and bravely in the face of danger and when blue sky and bright sunlight will again appear. When performing Taegeuk Sah Jang show a positive mind and a brave attitude. The movements should be strong and powerful opposing JIN.

 

1. Turn 90 left moving left foot into left back stance and execute a double middle section knifehand guarding block.

2. Step forward with right foot out into long stance and execute palm block downwards with left hand followed by       middle section spear finger strike with right hand over palm block.

3. Turn 180 right moving right foot into right back stance and execute a double middle section knifehand guarding      block.

4. Step forward with left foot out into left long stance and execute palm block downwards with right hand followed      by middle section spear finger strike with left hand over palm block.

5. Step 90 left moving left foot out into left long stance and execute a left high section knifehand block and                knifehand strike to the neck with the right hand.

6. Keeping left foot in place execute front kick with right leg.

7. Step down into right long stance and execute middle section reverse punch with left fist.

8. Keeping right foot in place execute side kick with left leg.

9. Quickly putting left foot down execute side kick with right leg.

10. Step down into right back stance and execute a double middle section knifehand guarding block.

11. Turn 270 left moving left foot out into left back stance and execute a left middle section finger - side block.

12a. Keeping left foot in place execute front kick with right leg.

12b. Step back with right foot into left back stance and execute a right stabbing block.

13. Turn 180 right moving right foot into right back stance and execute a right middle section finger - side block.

14a. Keeping right foot in place execute front kick with left leg.

14b. Step back with left foot into right back stance and execute a left stabbing block.

15. Step 90 left moving left foot out into left long stance and execute a left high section knifehand block and               knifehand strike to the neck with the right hand.

16a. Keeping left foot in place execute front kick with right leg.

16b. Step down into right long stance and execute high section back-fist strike with the right fist.

17a. Turn 90 left moving left foot into left walking stance and execute a left middle section stabbing block.

17b. Remain in the same stance and execute reverse punch with right fist.

18a. Turn 180 right with right foot into right walking stance and execute a right middle section stabbing block.

18b. Remaining in the same stance and execute reverse punch with left fist.

19a. Turn 90 left stepping with left foot out into left long stance and execute a left middle section stabbing block.

19b. Remaining in the same stance and execute reverse punch with the right fist.

19c. Followed by middle section punch with the left fist.

20a. Step forward moving right foot out into right long stance and execute a right middle section stabbing block.

20b. Remain in the same stance and execute reverse punch with left fist.

20c. Followed by middle section punch with the right fist - YELL
