Taegeuk Sam Jang

 

Taegeuk sam jang concerns actions applying the principle of RI. This symbol means fire and sun.  What distinguishes man from the animals is that man knows how to use fire. Burning fire gives man light, warmth, enthusiasm and hope. The action therefore of sam jang accordingly should be performed with VITALITY and passion.

 

1. Turn 90 left moving left foot walking stance and execute a left low section block.

2a. Keeping left foot in place execute front kick with right leg.

2b step down into right long stance and execute middle section punch with right fist.

2c Remain in the same stance and execute reverse punch with left fist.

3. Turn 180 right stepping with right foot out into right waling stance and execute a right low section block.

4a. Keeping right foot in place execute front kick with left leg.

4b. Step down into left long stance and execute middle section punch with left fist.

4c. Remain in the same stance and execute reverse punch with the right fist.

5. Step 90 left moving left foot into left walking stance and execute a right inward knifehand strike neck height.

6. Step forward with right foot into walking stance and execute a left inward knifehand strike neck height.

7. Step 90 left moving left moving left foot out into left back stance and execute a left single middle section knifehand block.

8. Keeping right foot in place move left foot forward into left long stance and execute reverse punch with right fist.

9. Turn 180 right stepping with right foot out into right back stance and execute aright single middle section knifehand block.

10. Keeping left foot in place move right foot forward into right long stance and execute reverse punch with left fist.

11.Step 90 left moving left foot into left walking stance and execute a right stabbing block.

12. Step forward with right foot into walking stance and execute a left stabbing block.

13. Turn 270 left moving left foot into left walking stance and execute a left low section block.

14a. Keeping left foot in place execute front kick with right leg.

14b. Step down into right long stance and execute middle section punch with right fist.

14c. Remain in the same stance and execute reverse punch with right fist.

15. Turn 180 right stepping with right foot out into right walking stance and execute a right low section block.

16a. Keeping right foot in place execute front kick with left leg.

16b. Step down into left long stance and execute middle section punch with left fist.

16c. Remain in the same stance and execute reverse punch with right fist.

17a. Turn 90 left stepping with left foot into left walking stance and execute a left low section block.

17b. Remain in the same stance and execute reverse punch with right fist.

18a. Step forward moving right foot into right walking stance and execute a right low section block.

18b. Remain in the same stance and execute a reverse punch with left fist.

19a. Keeping right foot in place execute front kick with left leg.
