Taegeuk Yee Jang

 

This taegeuk is expressed by the symbol TAE, meaning joyfulness. This is the state in which ones mind is kept firm and yet appears gentle so that smile and virtue prevail. When performing this taegeuk all actions should be performed gentle but forcefully.

 

1. Turn 90 left moving left foot into left walking stance and execute a left low section block.

2. Step forward with right foot out into long stance and punch with right fist middle section.

3. Turn 180 right stepping with right foot out into right walking stance and execute a right low section block.

4. Step forward with left out into long stance and punch with left fist middle section.

5. Step 90 left moving left foot into left walking stance and execute a right stabbing block.

6. Step forward with right foot into walking stance and execute a left stabbing block.

7. Step 90 left moving left foot up into left walking stance and execute a left low section block.

8a. Keeping left foot in place execute front kick with right leg.

8b. Step down into right long stance and execute middle section punch with right fist.

9.Turn 180 right stepping with right foot out into right walking stance and execute a right low section block.

10a. Keeping right foot in place execute front kick with left leg.

10b. Step down into left leg long stance and execute middle section punch with left fist.

11. Step 90 left moving left foot into left walking stance and execute a right high section block.

12. Step forward with right foot into walking stance and execute a right high section block.

13.Turn 270 left moving left foot into walking stance and execute a right stabbing block.

14. Turn 180 right stepping with right foot out into right walking stance and execute a left stabbing block.

15. Turn 90 left stepping with left foot into left walking stance and execute a left low section block.

16a. Keeping left foot in place execute front kick with right leg.
